Ryan Hall wins Olympic marathon qualifier

In a spectacular performance, Ryan Hall left the competition behind to win the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials — Men's Marathon. He'll be joined in Beijing by second place finisher Dathan Ritzenhein and third place finisher Brian Sell.

The USA's marathon olympiansin in Beijing next year :
Ryan Hall - 2:09:02
Dathan Ritzenhein - 2:11:07
Brian Sell - 2:11:40

The Alternates:
Khalid Khannouchi - 2:12:34
Jason Lehmkuhle - 2:12:54

During the trials Ryan Shay, of Flagstaff, AZ, died during the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials after collapsing about 5 1/2 miles into the race. He was 28.
